Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden title for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - led to him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court since that period of that year.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one different tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, including in that event in the past months.
The player's retrieving approach and regular outbursts on court had caused some to doubt if his ability to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and play aggressively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his first tour title, took control to push for a decider.
Moutet defended 4 early-game chances in a competitive third set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the win with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
